Localisation indoor unit - split or console for heating

Hello,
I am sorry for my english, I am writing from Poland and I need your help.
I am building small house 80 sqm, with two storeys and good isulation.
And I have problem with localisation indoor unit on the ground floor (35 sqm / 110 cubic m) for heating.
1) split air conditioner above the door wall
2) floor standing console in the center
Which one localisation will be better for heating?
Does floor console will be better for heating?
I am thinking about Daikin Perfera or Toshiba 3,5kW.
For last two winters we had about -14 only for few days.
On the first floor I plannig ducted air conditioning for heating and cooling, about 2,5kW.
Thanks for help.

I'd myself prefer a floor unit for the reason that it will not blow air into your eyes under practically any circumstances. Solely for heating effect I do not find much difference. The wall unit blows warm air towards the floor (good), but the floor unit sucks cold air from the floor level and will warm it (good as well). The wall unit is more space efficient than a coil unit standing on the floor, if you find a suitable installation location for either one.

One comment… Units have side (horizontal) adjustment for flow but in practise that is very limited adjustment. Not possible like You have drawn in place 2.
But even adjustment is limited it is possible that heat and cold are spread around the room. Cold air spreads quite well in floor level. Heat maybe not quite that well if there is doors (heat spreads close to ceil but there is usually wall above the door which blocks air flow)

Picture did not show place for sofa or other places where people are usually located. There might be draft if flow is directly towards people.

@Harrastelija you have right, adjust flow on the picture is only for example. But I don't know what is the angle range in console and how it will work in practise.
I can move the console to the right (30-40 cm) for better air flow.
But I'm still thinking about localisation number 1. Does wall unit can blow warm air to the next corner and mix it for stable temperature (distance 9m)?
I have read many posts on this forum and most people using wall units for heating not console.

Is there any door between warddrobe and table? Is this open from floor to ceiling? Door is lower than room?
if open from floor to ceiling then no problem with position 1. Might be that flow should not be horizontal but little bit downwards.
Even if not totally open then warm should spread quite well when flow is little bit downward towards opening.

Location 2 might pull in cooking grease from kitchen. The indoor unit will get clogged earlier and it will require more maintenance.

Location 1 is only suitable if the dashed lines towards the kitchen are open.

Location 1 will require using a higher indoor unit fan speed, which means some noise from there. Location 2 may allow using a very low indoor unit fan speed.

I would probably take location 2 but I would also choose the indoor unit from a maintenance point of view, so that the fan rotor is easy to remove.

This is typical of Finland, because wall-based units have been sold at a competitive price. Finns prefer these as their homes have some other type of heating as well and the air-to-air heat pumps are purchased to lower heating costs (compared with e.g. electric radiators and water-circulating electric resistor-based or heating oil-based central systems). The heat distribution devices of the main heating system are often in conflict with suitable location of heat pump fan units at a low position on the wall.

The ground floor is open space like on photos:

I have to make decision because it's my main heating source :)

In the USA they use fan coil units close to the ceiling for cooling, only, and units standing on the floor for combined cooling and heating or heating, only. There could be exceptions in lower class motels etc.

The technology originates from the USA originally, so they have dropped adaptations and alternatives that are less fit for the purpose.

It is clear that piping is more difficult for fan coil units close to the floor in case of building renovation and add-on installations. For new constructions there not that type of constraints. Do not trust too much on how things are done in Finland, there are local reasons here.

In Poland most of people using wall units for cooling and heating too:)
But I think that's a good summary: "Do not trust too much on how things are done in Finland, there are local reasons here."
I will think about floor unit, maybe this is best option in my house.
Thanks for your help!
