Lauseen "at the defined report line a picture is taken should there be a speed violation" voi ymmärtää useammalla tavalla, esim:
- jos on (jo aiemmin) todettu ylinopeus, kuva otetaan määritellyssä paikassa
- kuva otetaan määritellyssä paikassa, jos siinä todetaan ylinopeus
Koska aiemmin todetaan, että "Vehicles moving within that cone are tracked and their movements analyzed", olisin taipuvainen ensimmäisen tulkinnan kannalle.
SPEED MEASUREMENT -- RS240 DUAL DOPPLER POSITIONAL RADAR DETECTION
The heart of all Sensys market leading safety systems is the RS240 Dual Doppler Positional Radar. This military grade radar device effortlessly and accurately tracks the speed and position of multiple vehicles across several lanes simultaneously. Sensys refined the most advanced military radar technology developed for demanding defense industry applications to create the RS240. The RS240 provides the technological core of our speeding enforcement solutions and also provides the stable, reliable and accurate information necessary for traffic counts, video monitoring, incident detection and much more. The RS240 is completely non-intrusive and
never requires intrusion into the road surface. Operating on the K-band (24.05 - 24.25 GHz), the RS240 is the most advanced radar detection system in the world. Like handheld speed measurement devices, the RS 240 uses the Doppler Effect to determine vehicle speed. But that is where the similarities end. Unlike traditional radars, the RS 240 measures the exact speed and position of every vehicle in the enforcement zone 21 times per second. When the system reads a speed and position, it predicts the position that the vehicle should occupy on the next reading 47 milliseconds later. When that next reading occurs, if the actual position does not match exactly the predicted position, the system disregards both readings because it knows that one of the signals must be false. Very rapidly, the RS 240 is able to secure enough clean and confirmed signals to know the approaching vehicle’s speed with certainty. Because of this automatic internal confirmation, it is highly improbable that the RS240 will generate an incorrect speed-reading
. In order to create 100% certainty regarding the vehicle speed, the RS240 incorporates an independent, secondary speed confirmation using a distance over time calculation. The RS240 knows every vehicles exact position.
The RS240 calculates the amount of time a vehicle takes to travel a specified distance within the enforcement zone. It is then a simple matter to calculate the speed of that vehicle. If the speed calculated using this secondary method, the reading is discarded. It is, for all intents and purposes, impossible for the system to generate two identical incorrect speed-readings using to entirely independent and different methods. The accuracy of our primary speed measurement along with the automatic, internal secondary speed confirmation account for the fact that in 30 years, no citation has ever been dismissed because the Sensys system was shown to be faulty or flawed. No other vendor can make that statement. This advanced radar system continuously tracks vehicles from the moment they enter the enforcement zone until they have cleared the intersection. This advantage allows us to capture more violations than loop based systems and dramatically reduces false triggers. The RS240 provides the highest level of legal security on the market. Sensys photo enforcement systems are unique in meeting the requirements set by the Swedish National Police Board and the Swedish National Testing and Research Institute according to their stringent legal-security standards. There is not accrediting agency in the North America that has higher certification standards. The RS240 is certified accurate to within ± 1.0 MPH up to 100 MPH range and ± 1% thereafter up to 185 MPH. This accuracy significantly exceeds the IACP’s speed accuracy requirements as specified in the IACP Across the Road Radar Module Speed Measuring Device Performance Specifications.
